Lia Marie Johnson is prepared to share her life experiences including her suicide attempt.
Youtuber Lia Marie Johnson Reveals All On Her Suicide Attempts-‘Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Help’
At 26 years old, the YouTuber achieved recognition when she was only 14 due to her appearance on the Fine Brothers’ “Kids React” series.
At the age of 17, Johnson relocated to Los Angeles where she featured in some films and secured a contract with Capitol Records. Subsequently, she moved to a career as a singer, though she still kept her own YouTube channel active.
Her 2016 song “DNA” brought her instant success, but it also led to her private life being opened up. Johnson has grappled with drug addiction, multiple suicide attempts, and a series of unhealthy relationships since then.
She is now making her voice heard in order to begin anew and to assist those who might be dealing with similar predicaments. In a video to her fans, she said: “Whatever path you’re on, I hope it’s a beautiful one.
“And if you aren’t happy where you are, don’t be afraid to ask for help and change directions.” In 2019, Johnson became widely known through her Instagram Live recordings, where many noticed her intoxicated condition and the audible noise of people using drugs.
Johnson openly acknowledged these facts in her video, and revealed she had been arrested several times. Fast forwarding to 2020, Johnson suffered a tragic event when her partner, who was also an addict, took his own life.
A friend of hers stepped in and assisted her to regain her sobriety by providing her a place to stay and being understanding when she had difficulty in remaining sober. And that is something that she was grateful for.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I’ve had a lot of people tell me ‘I’m glad that you’re alive’ because the way I was living I shouldn’t be. Now I can tell you that the one thing that saved me was love, real love.”
