It’s time for another week of action from Ring of Honor – with VLNCE UNLTD taking center stage once again. The dominant faction wants another eight man tag team fight – and want four opponents to step up for a fight in our main event. Danhausen seems interested in getting Violenthausen, but only has two partners. We’ll see how that plays out, but first we have The Briscoes in tag team action.
The Briscoes Get Taken To Limit By First Time Tag Team
At Death Before Dishonor, Taylor Rust made his return in a winning effort against a debuting Jake Atlas. His partner tonight would be Alex Zayne – who earned a ROH World Championship match winning the Honor Rumble, also at Death Before Dishonor. He’s undefeated in singles, even having a win over current champion Bandido – but how would he fare in tag team action?
The answer is not too bad. Zayne & Rust had to face one of the greatest tag teams in ROH history – but were able to hold their own throughout. We’d almost see Mark Briscoe tap out to Rust on a few occasions, and the high flying offense of Zayne kept even Jay Briscoe on his toes. However, you don’t just step to The Briscoes as a first time team and win, and their inexperience would lead to the downfall, as Jay Briscoe nailed Rust with the J-Driller, and Mark soared in with Froggy-Bow for the win.
VLNCE UNLTD Love A Chaotic Fight
Danhausen already had Steve (or Sledge, or was it Sludge?) and PCO in his corner – but needed a fourth man. Demonic Flamita looked evil enough, and was roped into a main event clash. Danhausen outwrestled Homicide to start the match, before Tony Deppen & Demonic Flamita picked up the pace in a big way. Sludge would match the power of Chris Dickinson, and PCO would be the only one to match his former partner – Brody King.
However, a piledriver would cause the French Canadian Frankenstein to short circuit, and think he was still the partner of Brody King in Villain Enterprises. He’d beat down his own team, before Danhausen snapped him out of his mania. This one ended when Brody King would drop Sledge with the Gonzo Bomb for the win. A very fun match.
