The Undertaker retired in November 2019 at WrestleMania in a cinematic match against AJ Styles. This was Undertaker’s last match and after announced his retirement. The match was great and entertaining and could be considered one of the best Undertaker matches in a while.
Sadly, the match wasn’t in front of a crowd. However, Cinematic matches do pay off in Undertaker fever. Undertaker has gone on to clarify that he is staying retired. He also mentioned if we will be seeing his daughter in the WWE ring in the future.
Is the Undertaker retiring
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, this is what Undertaker had to say.
“As of this moment, yeah, my days in the ring are done, and it’s not because I don’t want to be in the ring. That’s where I’ve spent most of my adult life. My whole life really has been spent in the wrestling or sports entertainment ring. In my mind, I still can see everything, and in my heart, I want to be out there, but it’s at the point where my body can’t deliver what my mind and my heart see. My body can’t deliver that, and I just don’t want to cheapen the legacy of that character. I’d hate for people to pay money to see me work and be disappointed.”
On if he will train his daughter
“I tell you what. I don’t know. If it’s in her heart and that’s what she really truly wants to do one day, I’ll do my best to coach her up. Obviously, her mom will too, but we’ll see what happens. We have a long way to go before I start worrying about that.”
Undertakers Daughter’s mother is Michelle McCool, another Legend in WWE, making wrestling in her blood. It’s possible we will be seeing the daughter of Undertaker in WWE at some point in the future.
