Goldberg has been one of the fans splitting returns in recent memory. Many fans think that Goldberg shouldn’t be wrestling in WWE anymore, especially winning against younger talent. Most of this hate is from one of the Saudi shows.
The Goldberg match against the Fiend could be seen as the match where the Fiend started to go downhill. It has now been reported. However, after the match between Bobby Lashley, there is only one Goldberg’s match left in his contract. It’s possible that this could be Goldberg’s last match in WWE. But who should be the last match be against?
Big E
It feels like there are only two logical matches for Goldberg. One of them is the current men’s Raw champion, Big E. Currently, Big E hasn’t had any massive challenges apart from Bobby Lashley. There hasn’t been much to prove that Big E is dominant, but beating Goldberg could be what cements Big E as a great champion. Similar to how Drew McIntyre beat Brock Lesner, this could be a big moment for the current champion.
Matt Riddle
Then there’s the fan favourite and the match that Riddle has been asking for. The only reason for this not happening yet is that Goldberg does not want to wrestle Riddle. But it feels like it needs to happen. It’s very likely that Riddle will take the loss here, but it will still be a match worth watching as it feels like it’s been heating up for a while.
