Brandon’s relationship with his parents seems unnatural to fans. Although the family care about one another, their relationship could hinder Brandon’s growth. Brandon’s parents, Betty and Rob Gibbs house rules were so strict and fans thought they were too much. However, a lot of fans compared him to a famous cartoon character from The Simpsons.

Milhouse has small eyes, much like Brandon Gibbs, and has his father’s defeatist attitude. They also know that Milhouse gets a streak of cockiness, but he is quickly knocked off his pedal stool, the way Brandon’s mum and wife, Betty and Julia do to him.

Both The Simpsons character and 90 Day Fiancé cast member miss the mark when it comes to properly socialize. Sometimes, when Milhouse sees the opportunity, he tries to take advantage of Bart and the same could be said for Brandon, whose mother often did a lot for him.
Now, it seems Brandon is growing up, thanks to his marriage. He and Julia have moved out of the farmhouse and now have their own space where they don’t have to live with his parent’s rules. Even though it seems he is growing up, 90 Day Fiancé fans still believe his parents have their claws in him and will be able to manipulate him when the time comes.
