American singer Chico DeBarge has reportedly been arrested on the grounds of being in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

This is not the first time that the singer has found himself in trouble with the law over drugs. He has apparently been arrested on three other occasions over drug-related issues. And yet, it seems as though he cannot get himself a break.
Following an initial disturbance at a motorhome, the authorities arrived in order to check what was going on. Thereafter, they discovered that the singer’s road vehicle had an expired licence.
And as a consequence, his home was impounded, after which the drugs came to light. A source told TMZ the following: “Officers allegedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the ride.
“The DeBarge singer was then arrested and booked for possession of a controlled substance and possession.” But on reflection, it is understandable why Chico may have a drug problem.
In 202o, his son Dontae was murdered. And given that this may have been due to getting involved in the wrong crowd, Chico was never able to live it down. Although he has attempted to deal with his problems, it does not seem to be working.
At the time of the death, the authorities stated: “The victim (M/B/35 yrs) was found with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by LAFD.
“There is no suspect information. The victim is homeless. It is unknown if it is gang-related.” The response on social media was one of disappointment and sadness.
Fans were aggrieved that Chico was not able to turn his life around, especially since his son’s death may have been an eye-opener for him. One fan on Twitter wrote: “Didn’t one of the brothers very recently pass?
“Meth has been doing a number on a lot of people. It destroys lives, and the sad thing those using it are highly oblivious to its deleterious effects to their health & lives.”
