LGBTQ was recently rebranded into Pro Wrestling VIBE and they’re hosting their first wrestling festival on June 17-18, 2022 called Pride and VIBE Weekend.
The announcement came on November 26 via Twitter and other outlets as Pro Wrestling VIBE producer Billy Dixon said the weekend will feature LGBTQ allies from the US and Internationally depending on any Covid restrictions in place at the time.
The festival will be held at the Knights of Columbus where Paris Is Bumping: Solid Gold ’21 was held in July.
It’s familiar stomping ground for the company, so it should be a fun event with old and new fans attending.
Maybe a good time to start planning your vacay to wrestling's 1st ever Pride weekend.
Pride and VIBE Weekend features the best LGBTQ+ talent and allies nationwide (and globe idk yet 🤔) across 2 days of supershows!

Setting the stage
This event comes ass other Indie promotions have held similar festivals over the years and had drawn large crowds.
It’s a great way to help get the word out and while celebrating LGBTQ wrestlers and even draw in casual wrestling fans that are interested in the product.
At the moment, details are limited, but it looks like they’ll feature the second Cassandro Cup, which is the equivalent of the Super 8 tournament.
It’s also been reported that they’ll host Paris Is Bumping: The Legends Ball, the third Paris Is Bumping event.
In an interview with Outsports, Bill Dixon said, “I think we’re at a point in our revolution to try new and daring ideas. I think our fanbase wants to see us conquer new mountains and goals. Is it scary? Obviously. I think it’s great how across the board indie wrestling is creating multiple day events that fans look forward to. I believe we as performers will deliver shows that will be remembered for years to come.”
More to come
At the moment, Pride and VIBE Weekend is the only event scheduled by Pro Wrestling VIBE for 2022 but there’s more to come. It’s also the first they’ve announced since their October 2021 event, Human Nature, was canceled.
The company has teased a few other events, and Dixon plans to honor his promise for a Billy & EFFY’s High School Reunion that would feature the first all LBTQ Rumble match.
It’s great to see Pro Wrestling VIBE planning more events as they move forward and continue breaking barriers in a sport that used to mock the community as comedic villains.
They may be starting down a new path, but the future’s bright and we look forward to hearing more from Bill Dixon and Pro Wrestling VIBE.
