Cameron Grimes was able to play Duke Hudson like a fool when he cleaned out his poker room. His poker face is impossible to read, as it’s hidden under 18 layers of character. However, Hudson will meet Grimes in the ring for a poker showdown, which is more likely to end in a brawl than a card game.
WWE NXT: Pokerstars. Duke Hudson vs. Cameron Grimes
Grimes & Hudson were in the ring, and the game was No Limit Texas Hold’Em. WWE would take this seriously, explaining the rules. Fittingly, in Canada ahead of NXT 2.0 was PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo – Cash Challenge 3. Time for some real sports action apparently, with some big shittalking. Hudson claimed to make Grimes his bitch, but he was the one sweating while Grimes was cool as a cucumber.
The cards would be dealt, and Grimes got a King & a 3 of Spades. Hudson would have a 5 of Diamonds and 5 of Clubs. Both men went in with a 1000. The Flop would be a 5 of Hearts, Jack of Hearts and 10 of Hearts. Hudson would get arrogant and up the stakes. The pot was raised to 10k, and the turn card was a Queen of Spades.
Hudson would call, and the pot was up to 18k. The river card would be a 7 of hearts. Hudson had a 100% chance of a win, but Grimes stayed confident. He’d be called to show how big his balls are, and Grimes went all in. Grimes would keep taunting Hudson, and he was getting red, as Grimes asked if he had raisins or melons.
Hudson would have to call the bluff – and thought Grimes had a flush, and folded – GRIMES wins! Checking the cards, Hudson knew he was being played and kicked Grimes in the face and bombed him through the table. He’d grab a hammer, but opted for scissors – and gave Grimes a haircut in the middle of the ring. What an odd segment.
Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner Brawl With Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen
Kyle O’Reilly saw Von Wagner hanging out on Smackdown Live, but that doesn’t matter. Tonight they look to handle business in the tag division – as they look to beat Briggs & Jensen. Briggs & Jensen were already in the ring and O’Reilly would look out of place in this mix. He’d chop away at Jensen with some kicks, but missed a tag and was run down.
Wagner would tag in, and traded blows with Briggs before hitting a jumping shoulder tackle. O’Reilly tagged in and kicked Jensen on the apron, before being hit from behind. He’d have to fight off a weak bearhug, and manage this. Wagner hit a big flatliner and O’Reilly took Briggs on the outside. A twisting Butterfly Suplex closed this one out in the ring.
Persia Pirotta Takes On Handicap Odds
Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta were set for tag team action, but something was wrong. Lumis was being sent to hospital to get his hand checked on, and Hartwell was concerned about her husband. Taking a deep breath, Pirotta would say to go with Lumis – turning this into a handicap match.
Pirotta would have two newcomers to the brand, giving her some good odds. She’d flaunt the power early, before Robert Stone came to ringside as a distraction. Pirotta would get the advantage with some crushing splashes in the corner. Stone lost all his talent to budget cuts recently, and needs more clients to lose. Pirotta nailed a double samoan drop to get the win.
Stone is looking to recruit, but his old ex-client still in WWE is Aliyah. Is Robert Stone cursed? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
