Adam Cole has been sick of the nonsense of Orange Cassidy for weeks now. He hates him, and everything he stands for. Hates how by being around him alone has ruined his carefully crafted image – and a loss to him and Best Friends on Rampage has Cole at his breaking point. Tonight at Holiday Bash, they will meet one on one – and failure is not an option for Cole.
Adam Cole Isn’t Playing The Mind Games Of Orange Cassidy
Sunglasses stayed on as the bell rang, before OC would just slowly make his way to the middle of the ring. Cole drew a line in the proverbial sand, before OC waltzed around it. OC would stick the hands of Cole in his pockets after he taunted, before Cole was taken down with a side headlock takeover.
Cole would fight free before taking a big armdrag. He tried to block the next but OC anticipated this and grabbed another side headlock. Cole would slip free and get the headscissor, before OC vibrated his way free. Wrist control wouldn’t keep OC still, before Cole got a sleeper hold.
Another side headlock came once OC was free, before things would speed up as OC got some near falls off some pinfalls. Cole fired back with a backstabber and some heavy forearm shots – before launching OC across the ring.
OC would try to climb to the top rope before taking a shot to the face. Cole would try for the superplex, but OC sent him off the top rope before nailing the swinging DDT. Young Bucks & Brandon Cutler would come to distract OC, before a big splash took out Cutler and Best Friends took the Young Bucks out.
Here Comes Kyle O’Reilly!
Cole would take advantage by driving OC into the steel steps, before lowering the knee pad… and nailing the steel with his exposed kneecap. OC would throw Cole into the barricade, before Cole got his revenge and rolled back into the ring to break the twenty count.
Both men back in the ring, they’d go for clotheslines and both end up on the mat. Cole would take a big superkick after being lulled into a false sense of security, before being rolled into a second big kick. OC would be dropped with the knee drop brainbuster, with a pump kick coming – but Stundog Millionaire and Diving DDT. Cole kicked out at two, before an Ushigoroshi landed.
Panama Sunrise was set – but OC lured Cole away for a Small Package getting two, before another two count off the Michinoku Driver. OC got cocky and came off the top rope with his hands in his pockets – and took a superkick and Panama Sunrise. Cole wouldn’t cover OC properly and got a two count for it. The Boom was set up, but OC dodged and hit Beach Break.
Bobby Fish could come to ringside and distract the referee – but The Violent Artist Kyle O’Reilly was here! He’d beat down OC, and Cole nailed The Boom for the win… and that’s undisputed. Best Friends tried to make the save, before being taken out with the High/Low.
The Young Bucks seemed concerned by this, but Cole would assure them all is fine. He’d leave with Fish & O’Reilly, and this could be the start of a civil war within The Elite.
