Ever since Ring of Honor had to release all of their contracted talent, fans have been waiting for one man to join AEW. This is Brody King. King is a powerhouse of a wrestler, someone who has challenged for the ROH World Championship in the past year, and the leader of VLNCE UNLTD. In addition, when PWG started back up – he would claim the PWG World Tag Team Championships alongside Malakai Black. This last connection has fans wondering when he will show up as part of The House Of Black.
Brody King’s Band Had To Be Switched Off A January 8th Festival Lineup
It is now being theorized that Brody King will make his AEW debut before January 8th. This comes due to his hardcore punk band, God’s Hate having a festival date swapped due to “scheduling mixups”. They were set to play on Saturday, January 8th – but things had to be swapped around.
January 8th is the date that is currently set for AEW Presents “Battle Of The Belts“. With Brody having links to the promotion through Black, and working his final ROH date on December 11th with Final Battle – it’s very possible that between those two dates, King shows up in AEW.
Malakai Black Will Need A Tag Partner For His Next Feud
Right now, Malakai Black is seemingly entering a feud with The Varsity Blondes – having sprayed Black Mist in the eyes of their manager Julia Hart. While Black has allied himself with Andrade El Idolo, it seems Andrade is set to chase the TNT Championship right now.
This means that Black will need a tag team partner – which lines up nicely with Brody King soon being available. There is a chance that Black picks up someone like Blade as his partner, as The Butcher is once again injured – but seeing as he is already tag champions with Brody King in PWG? It just makes sense to bring that team into AEW.
This would give another deadly tag team, potentially one who can take out The Lucha Bros – while giving yet another heavyweight to the AEW roster.
