The fallout from Chris Noth’s sexual assault scandal continues, with reports that the actor has been dropped by the well-known LA talent agency A3 Artists.
Chris Noth Gets Dropped By His Talent Agency Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Chris’ life has turned upside down, after three women came forward to accuse him of sexual assault. Not only that, but Zoe Lister-Jones who had also seen him personally on a TV set also spoke on his inappropriate behaviour towards women.
Although Chris denied the allegations, it has not been enough to prevent his career from taking a dive. In an official statement by the talent agency, a representative said: “Chris Noth is no longer a client.”
Therefore, there are increasing calls to see the actor being cancelled as a result. And this was very much reflected in the social media response that has emerged following the onset of the claims.
A significant majority of people supported the idea that the actor should be cancelled, irrespective of the fact that the allegations have yet to go through a full and proper investigation.
Therefore, regardless of what you think about Chris, the fact of the matter is that due process is still needed. And yet, it looks as though people have made their mind up already and declared him guilty. That has not gone down well, though.
One person on Twitter wrote: “I have no idea what happened to these women, but it is wrong for adults with very old allegations who went to a media outlet (not police) to be given anonymity by this report.
“Their identities are key to evaluating credibility. This makes it nearly impossible to defend against.” While another person stated: “I completely agree.
“A person’s reputation can be destroyed because two anonymous people went to the media and made claims that cannot be put under scrutiny. I have had just about enough of trial by media BS.”
As of now, it is too early to tell what the full consequences are going to be. Ultimately, until an investigation has been conducted following the review of all the evidence involved, then things will not be any clearer.
And that is not going to be a long, drawn-out process. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below. Remember to stay up to date with the latest news on TheOvertimer.
