Nicki Minaj has reportedly been left angered by Jennifer Hough’s lawsuit in which the latter accused her husband Kenny Petty of harassment.
Nicki Minaj Reportedly Angered By Jennifer Hough’s Harassment Lawsuit Against Her Husband
According to reports, Nicki is of the view that these allegations are unfounded and, therefore, nothing more than rumours.
The primary reason why Nicki has apparently felt this way is that she does not believe Jennifer’s story has any credence and can only be explained as trying to discredit her.
However, that has not gone down too well with Jennifer’s lawyers. The court documents allege that “Nicki, Kenneth Petty and a gaggle of lawyers were on her case.
“[They were] trying to get her to recant her attempted rape claim against Ken … which she made in the ’90s and for which KP was convicted.”
This begs the question, what is going to happen? Well, as of now, it is clear that this could end up being drawn out into a long legal battle due to the following reasons.
First of all, the courts will have to determine whether or not the whole claims were made up or whether only certain parts of them should be dismissed in light of the fact that Jennifer’s alleged claims contradict each other.
Nicki’s team points towards the fact that there is a discrepancy over the circumstances surrounding the nature of the contact between Nicki and her husband.
Jennifer had apparently claimed that she had to change her contact details to avoid the harassment before reportedly stating that members from Nicki’s team had tried to reach out, through her brother, by offering $500k in the hope that this could get settled.
If this is taken to be true, then it could have serious repercussions as it would show that Nicki may have been trying to exert some pressure on Jennifer to settle this outside of court.
In addition, it could also be viewed as Nicki hinting that there may be a case to answer, as it would make no sense to pay someone unless there is a chance that there is liability involved.
