Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been mocked for the fact that they had decided to donate to a Christmas parade that had taken place.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan had donated towards their neighbourhood’s first Annual Montecito Holiday Car Parade.
And given that they have been receiving a tough time of late, when it comes to the media, the last thing that they could have expected is negative backlash during the Christmas holidays.
In the picture here, we can see that there is a red Santa Claus behind the wheel of a car. The vehicle is all in red and is filled with many people looking forward to the Christmas celebrations as it drives off.
Although their intention was to make people enjoy Christmas, especially in light of what has been happening at a very difficult time due to the pandemic, not everyone was impressed by their goodwill gesture.
And so it showed. Podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rached Bowie did not hold back on their words. They felt that the event ended up causing them more embarrassment than goodwill cheer.
In a segment on their show, Roberta said: “It’s like Real Housewives Christmas, it’s borderline trashy, just gonna say. Some people have a different idea of what Christmas is but it’s fine, it’s very amusing.
“I scoured the pictures like if there are glimpses of them even in masks or sunglasses somewhere in there.” The response on social media was a lot kinder towards the couple.
A large majority of people understood the fact that they Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were trying to do something positive for the community.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Harry and Meghan the Monticito royals have set a new trendy tradition in their area. Kids will be loving this…….”
Whatever Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to do, it is always met with criticism. But as long as the community benefited from this initiative, then who are we to question otherwise.
After all, there has to come a point where the couple are accepted and respected for their decision to leave the Royal family for a life of independence.
