Tonight on AEW Dynamite, fans got a long awaited return to the show. Sue returned with her iconic mini-van, delivering her son Trent back to AEW fans. He had been out due to spinal fusion surgery earlier in the year, but was able to come back better than ever. Since he’s been gone, there have been developments with The Best Friends faction.
They would be properly added into the CHAOS faction of NJPW, giving the group the likes of Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta, and their first female member in Kris Statlander. However, after tonight’s episode – Rocky Romero would confirm that Statlander is not the only female member of the group. Trent’s mom Sue, is officially in the group.
Rocky Romero Confirms Sue Is Now Part Of The CHAOS Faction
This was made official following the show, when fans demanded answers from Rocky Romero. He’d simply reply to Sean Ross Sap of Fightful.com, saying “Yes!” when pressed about this. This means that Sue is now in the same faction as Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, and Tomohiro Ishii – which should bring a smile to any fan’s face.
It’s little touches like this that make wrestling so much fun nowadays. Perhaps her name can even be on their next towel merch – as their current towel still includes the name of SHO, who turned on the group to join Bullet Club branch ‘House Of Torture’ earlier this year.
Adding To Moments For Best Friends Every Time She Shows Up
In a silly way, Sue has really added a lot to the Best Friends faction. Her giving the middle finger to Santana & Ortiz after the Parking Lot Brawl with Best Friends added to that moment. Sue pulling up in her minivan has become a sign that things are about to get real, being used twice for the return of Trent – first happening at Arcade Anarchy.
This also opens up the door for a huge entrance in the future in NJPW. It’s only a matter of time before Trent and the rest of Best Friends make their way to Japan, and what better way to make an entrance in Tokyo Dome than pulling up in the backseat of a minivan?
