Dan Brown, who is best known for being the author of “The Da Vinci Code” has agreed to settle a lawsuit with his ex-wife Blythe Brown which included several allegations that he had been living a ‘secret’ life.
‘The Da Vinci Code’ Author Dan Brown Settles Lawsuit With His Ex-Wife Who Claimed He Was Living A ‘Secret Life’
According to reports, it is claimed that Dan had been having numerous affairs with other women. Not only that, but Bly stressed that Dan had been secretly funnelling funds in order to get gifts to a horse trainer who remained unnamed.
Further allegations also included that Dan had hidden projects from her, which would have resulted in him receiving millions especially since she claimed to have inspired the work for them.
Although Dan Brown denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that the combination of these events led to the end of their marriage in 2019. This was particularly difficult, especially since they had been married for around 21 years.
But after a period of consideration, the pair decided to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit in order to avoid the negative media intrusion that would continue to follow in light of this.
Harvey Wolkoff, who is known for being Blythe Brown’s attorney had this to say: “Blythe Brown and Dan Brown have reached an amicable resolution of their disagreements, and will have no further comment.
“They request that their desire for privacy and closure be respected.” Despite the request for privacy, Blythe was heavily criticised on social media.
People simply viewed her as being salty over Dan’s success, and they took issue with the fact that she was trying to gain some monetary compensation for the work that he had put in simply on the grounds of an apparent affair.
One person on Twitter wrote: “How do you bring a civil case against your husband for an affair? I get that you can sue for damn near anything, but I can’t imagine on what grounds a lawyer would hope to recover damages.
“Especially, if he’s the sole reason she has wealth to begin with (not saying she is).”
