Ben Affleck has spoken about the huge admiration that he had for music legend Prince and admitted to once having a naked poster of the star on his bedroom wall.

There is no denying that Prince changed the music industry forever. Not only was his music so iconic, but he also spoke out against what he believed to be too much control being placed on artists by demanding that they get paid higher and have more creative control.
And Ben admired him so much that he was a massive fan from such a young age. In an appearance on the ‘Kelly Clarkson’ show, he said: “My favorite musician was Prince, who is a genius. [I was a] very sophisticated nine-year-old.”
And yet, this was only just the start. Kelly went on to show a picture of a poster showcasing the musician that Ben had allegedly had in his bedroom.
In the picture here, we can clearly see that Prince is in a pose. But what is more significant is that Prince just so happens to be naked. Instead of being embarrassed about it, however, Ben admitted that his parent’s did not mind too much.
He added: “Listen, I was nine years old, I was a big Prince fan. My mom was very understanding. I took the poster, put it up, thinking like, ‘Yeah, that’s the guy. That’s the artist I like.'”
Despite his mom being accepting of it, the very fact of the matter is that she was not too convinced initially. But given that Ben was ultimately a child, his mother ended up keeping quiet in the hope that she did not hurt his feelings.
Now that he is a major Hollywood star in his own right, his mother will not have minded too much looking back now. He continued: “I watched like 15 different thoughts go through her head…and she was like, ‘That’s lovely.’ “
It is safe to say that this is not Ben’s proudest moment, but in light of everything that he has achieved in his career, he won’t mind this one bit. After all, he has managed to overcome so much adversity so he can be forgiven for that poster.
