Bob Dylan‘s legal team have responded to the sexual assault allegations that have been directed towards him after the victim had decided to change her timeline of events.

According to reports, the woman in question changed her testimony to state that the abuse had occurred over ‘several months,’ rather than the initial ‘6 weeks’ she had claimed.
While there is nothing to suggest that the victim had made this whole incident up, the very fact of the matter is that changes in storylines can cast doubt on the credibility of an account.
And that is something that has been seized by Bob’s legal team, who have denied the claims that have come to light.
In an official statement, a representative on behalf of Bob Dylan told the courts the following: “Unless expressly admitted, all allegations in the Complaint are denied.
“The allegation is false, malicious, reckless and defamatory. Mr. Dylan will not be extorted.” Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following reasons as to why the account may have changed.
First of all, the incident had apparently happened around 60 years ago. Therefore, it is not possible to always recall such an event with major accuracy especially since the memory can play tricks on the mind.
Secondly, in any event, the trauma caused by the event could also have the impact of distorting an account. And yet, for Bob, his team believes that this is part of a wider conspiracy which would allow people to make money on the back end of unfounded allegations.
As such, this would allow people to demand out of court settlements for the sake of avoiding the negative media publicity which would then legitimise false allegations.
Bob Dylan’s team added: “Mr. Dylan will vigorously defend himself against these lawyer-driven lies.
“[And] against all those responsible, including by seeking monetary sanctions against persons responsible for manufacturing and bringing this abusive lawsuit.”
The only thing left to do is let the authorities conduct their investigations and come to a reasonable conclusion based on all the evidence. This, however, is going to take some time before it reaches that stage.
