Crystal, for her part, was known for the amount of plastic surgery she had undergone throughout her career.
While this was done, as an attempt by Crystal, in order to enhance her appearance, the very fact of the matter is that looking back she realised that it was not the best possible move.
And as a way to tackle that and finally put it to bed once and for all, Crystal has decided to make changes to her body. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “I removed everything fake from my body and deleted all my old photos.
“I am more authentic, vulnerable and feel that I belong more to myself. I am mine.” But it was not just on the outside that Crystal wanted to make changes. She has also been looking deep within herself and trying to work out who she is.
And the the results have been there for all to see. Crystal admitted that she has been adopting a more modest approach and trying to move the focus away from her prior modelling days, where she had been sexualising herself was a way to further her modelling career.
Crystal stated: “Now I can confidently and 100% proudly say, modesty is what empowers me these days, and because it feels so much better internally, it will probably be this way for the rest of my life.”
The road to doing this was not so easy, though. There was the obvious apprehension that Crystal Hefner could end up losing her fan base, given that she was synonymous for being a Playboy model.
However, once those concerns had been tackled, it was clear that her fan base simply wanted her to be happy regardless of any expectations that were upon her to act in a certain way.
Crystal’s following comments confirmed as much: “Now I truly feel I have an army of supporters that care and see an actual soul behind the lens. For that I thank you.”
