Peter, for his part, decided to question the President about whether inflation could have a significant impact on the outcome of the midterm elections.
And given the increasing pressure on President Biden, the last thing that he wanted to hear was somebody questioning the economic status of the country.
As a result, Biden had uncharacteristically lost his temper when he decided to cuss the reporter. However, what the President did not know was that his microphone was still on which resulted in the other reporters picking it up.
While Peter was unaware of it initially, the very fact of the matter is that the other reporters went on to inform him. But it looks as though the tension between the pair has already been quashed.
During an interview on the ‘Hannity’ show, Peter stated how the pair talked about it over the phone. He said: “[Biden] said, ‘It’s nothing personal, pal.
“And I made sure to tell him that I’m always gonna try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking. And he said, ‘You got to.’ And that’s a quote from the president, so I’ll keep doing it.”
Nevertheless, it did not look like the President regretted his actions. This was by virtue of the fact that Biden did not apologize for his conduct.
The implication seems to be that President Biden stood by his words, and yet, rather than taking it all to heart, Peter remained unperturbed by that. Peter Doocy added: “I don’t need anybody to apologize to me.
“He can call me whatever he wants as long as it gets him talking! I think that’s enough. That’s enough. So we can move on. We can now move forward.”
