Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton will be celebrating her 40th birthday on January 9, but while she is expected to mark the occasion with a family day after she renounced a party last year due to COVID-19 outbreak, royal biographer, Ingrid Seward suggested that the celebrations may be delayed so that they will have a “joint party” with husband Prince William later in the year.
Kate Middleton’s Birthday Weekend Will Be “Fairly Low-key”
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William will also turn 40 on June 21. In a chat with True Royalty’s Royal Beat, Ms Seward said: “I think it will be low-key this weekend, fairly low-key. And then later in the year, probably after the Platinum Jubilee celebrations are over, she and William, whose birthday is June 21, will have a joint party. And really celebrate then.”
How The Duchess Of Cambridge Will Spend Her Birthday Weekend REVEALED
Royal commentator Neil Sean also shared that before the reintroduction of restrictions in December, Prince William had been hoping to throw a special party for Kate Middleton. Mr Sean said: “According to good sources the problem that Catherine has is that Prince William wanted to organise a big bash.
The bigger problem is this, it’s two-fold. Prince William had planned the initial stages of a big party, coming up next year, but the problem of ongoing measures, lockdowns, it’s very difficult to organise anything.” He continued to say that, “We recently saw Her Majesty the Queen plan all of Christmas at Sandringham. Can you imagine?
“She’s spent ages wrapping presents putting them around the tree, getting the food in. Lots of preparation go into these things and then they’re cancelled at the last minute. Of course, the bigger problem is Prince William can’t really organise that type of party, but it might come as a blessing.”
A royal insider also told The Mirror that the Duchess of Cambridge will for now “celebrate privately with her family.” The insider shared that, “It’s very much a scaled-down occasion this year for the Duchess, who will celebrate privately with her family. Of course, she is mindful of the current situation. She will be surrounded by loved-ones and that’s all that matters.”
