Deborah Aday, the wife of the late Meat Loaf, has continued to speak out at the grief she has been suffering in the aftermath of the rock star’s death.
Meat Loaf’s Wife Deborah Aday Left Feeling ‘Gut-Wrenching’ Grief Following Her Husband’s Death
The pair had been married for over a decade ever since they decided to walk down the aisle in 2007. And away from the camera screens, Meat Loaf was a man completely devoted to his wife.
Deborah addressed how he was an affectionate man, as he would often ‘hug’ her on several occasions, as well as expressing his general affection for her.
And now that he is no longer here, she has struggled to fathom what has happened to her life in the last week. During an interview with People magazine, Deborah said: “The grief I feel over the loss of my husband is gut-wrenching.
“I was lying close to Michael when he took his last breath and my sadness is beyond words.” But just as Deborah is feeling his absence, the same could be said of that with the public. In the aftermath of his death, Meat Loaf’s songs have begun to have a resurgence somewhat.
During protests around the world in response to the dissatisfaction with the Covid-19 mandates, people have begun to play his music in order to show a feeling of solidarity for that particular cause.
That only goes on to show just how much of an impact Meat Loaf had made during his lifetime. Deborah added: “He meant so much to so many people, and it gave me joy to be able to share him with the world.”
Much in the same way, Meat Loaf’s daughter Amanda opened up about another side to the man that people may not know about.
Behind the scenes, he was just a regular man that placed a lot of emphasis on hard work and making sure that his family was able to achieve the best possible life they could have.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “If we didn’t get good grades, we were grounded, and all of that stuff…It was very important to him that we were grounded in our home.”
