While this weekend saw the celebration of the Duchess of Cambridge’s 40th birthday, it also marked a controversial milestone for the British Royal Family – Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle’s departure from the firm. But reports are that Kate Middleton and Prince William are reconciled with the broken relationship.
Royal Family: Prince William And Kate Middleton Have Accepted Their “Broken” Relationship With Prince Harry
Two years ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping back from their royal roles. In January 2020, they shared their plans to become “financially independent” while they continued to “support” Queen Elizabeth.
The duo eventually settled in Santa Barbara, California, living their life as a normal family with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Their departure took a toll on all the people involved, but now The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton, are now said to be “reconciled” to the “broken” relationship with Prince Harry, as shared by Andrew Neil, the former veteran BBC journalist and chairman of GB News.
Neil discussed the events in the recent Channel 5 documentary, ‘2021: The Queen’s Terrible Year’. The Journalist said: “I’m pretty sure from what I’ve been told that Prince William and Kate are reconciled to the fact that this is broken, and it can’t be put together. “Not in the foreseeable future anyway, and that they need to go their way and William and Kate will go their way.”
Prince Harry has returned to the UK from California and met with his brother, William on two separate occasions since his departure from the firm. He came for the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip, who died at 99 in April 2021.
The Royal Brothers May Meet Up Again In June
Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle did not make the journey because she was heavily pregnant with their second child, Lilibet. William and Harry met again a few months later, in July, the post-humours 60th birthday of their late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and the unveiling a statue of her at the Sunken Gardens in Kensington Palace.
The brothers were spotted having deep conversations of both occasions. Former TV executive and documentary producer, Stewart Purvis, said that the Queen was affected by the media analysis of her grandchildren’s interactions. Purvis also spoke for the Channel 5 documentary, and said: “It must be galling for the Queen.
“I don’t think you ever quite get used to it when it’s so close to you personally. “To see your grandsons being cross-examined in the sense of their body language constantly being pored over by the press.”
Prince Harry and Prince William may meet again this year during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which will take place in the United Kingdom from June 2- June 5. The Platinum Jubilee will mark 70 years of the Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
