Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has revealed that she contracted Coronavirus after she had decided to go to Florida and party maskless.

According to reports, the representative began to feel symptoms just 7-days after her trip. Naturally, the worst was confirmed when a Covid-19 test stated that she was positive.
While AOC has been triple jabbed, the very fact of the matter is that she is now recovering at home. In the video here, we can see that Alexandria is enjoying her time in Florida at a beach as she gets some much-need rest as a way to cope with her increasing Congress duties.
But as part of that, AOC was pictured having no mask. In addition, she was seen hugging people who were not following social distancing guidelines.
In an official statement on Twitter, a spokesperson for her said: “Representative Ocasio-Cortez has received a positive test result for COVID-19.
“She is experiencing symptoms and is recovering at home. The Congresswoman received her booster shot this Fall, and encourages everyone to get their booster and follow all CDC guidance.”
This did not go down well on social media for the following reasons. First of all, it flies in the face of what Alexandria and other representatives have been telling people— in that they do not follow the advice that they are preaching.
Secondly, given that other people are having to abide by rules which are putting a strain on their freedoms, it was very hard for people to take.
One person on Twitter wrote: “While being trolls and hypocrites, this is frankly dumb behavior to be doing on Jan, 2nd. What a terrible message and disrespectful to healthcare workers at the brink.
“What a weird instinct to justify her decisions on this,” while another person stated: “Aaaaaand now she has COVID. It’s the hypocrisy for me.” This story has shown the increasing disconnect between what politicians are saying and doing.
If political figures like AOC want others to follow what they are setting out, they must set an example by showing how it is done. Otherwise, it will only create further division. So there you have it.
