Brittany Cartwright, best known for being on the hit TV show ‘Vanderpump Rules‘, has opened up on how she has been struggling to get rid of her excess weight in the aftermath of her pregnancy.
‘Vanderpump Rules’: Brittany Cartwright Admits That Her ‘Postpartum Weight Loss Has Been A Struggle’
The star recently welcomed the arrival of her son Cruz, who is now 8-months-old. While Brittany was delighted to become a mother, the very fact of the matter is that she did not prepare for the struggles that would come along in trying to go back to her ideal weight, once the pregnancy had been done.
After realising that she must stay in good health for the sake of her son, she set her sights on getting herself back into shape.
In an interview with People magazine, she said: “I want to be the best version of myself for my son. Since having Cruz, postpartum weight loss has been a struggle and something I’ve been very vocal about with my community.”
As part of that journey in trying to stay in shape, she has already set herself an audacious target that she wants to hit.
This is particularly true, since she had also become a victim of body-shaming on social media, which resulted in her confidence taking a huge hit. After all, she had been known for her appearance while being on ‘Vanderpump Rules.’
And given that her exit from the show was partly due to the fact that she wanted to have a family, it was only natural that she wanted to be in the best possible health to do that.
Brittany Cartright added: “[I want to lose] at least 30 lbs…I’d like to get back to feeling like my best self all around, including both mental and physical health.” Despite having that target in mind, she does not want any additional pressure on herself by giving a deadline.
In this way, Brittany wants to be able to move at her own pace and encourage others to tackle their body issues in a way that is best suited to them. Time will tell how Brittany’s journey does end up transpiring. So there you have it folks!
