Toxic Attraction have all the gold in the NXT Women’s division, and that means they’re one big target. Kay Lee Ray has accussed Mandy Rose of ducking her for weeks now, and Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta intend on winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic to get a shot at Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. However tonight, these six ladies meet in trios action – with just bragging rights on the line.
Toxic Attraction Have The Chemistry Advantage
KLR had her baseball bat ready for this match, but Persia & Rose would start this match – before KLR demanded the tag. Jayne tagged in to protect Rose, and this one finally started. KLR drove Jayne into the corner, and Hartwell got the tag. Jayne got the rear waist lock – before being driven into the ropes.
Hartwell took a big knee strike the to jaw, before Dolin tagged in and kept the beating coming. Isolation starts fast with a trio like Toxic Attraction, and a suplex would put Hartwell near her corner before Rose started to taunt. Hartwell rolled her up for a one count, before tagging in Persia who hit a backbreaker and shoved Rose up for a lariat.
KLR would get the tag and Rose would again flee, but got caught with a shoulder tackle before Dolin & Jayne made the save. Off to top rope, KLR would dive onto the pile – taking our three champions for the price of one. Rose got a tag to Jayne, who got driven into the corner of the challengers – before she’d push back to her corner.
Persia Pirotta Gets The Massive Win
Rose would tag in, before Hartwell was able to drop her. Jayne removed the tag option before Hartwell got free – and Dolin would get a near fall off a quick kick as we went to a commercial break. Back from the break, Hartwell would fight off a submission attempt from Rose- before the fresh Jacy Jayne would tag in to nail a rolling elbow and neckbreaker.
Hartwell would trade chops with Jayne, before both ladies went for a big boot – causing a double down. Persia would finally get a tag alongside Dolin, hitting a toss into the corner before a German Suplex. Jayne made the save, before Hartwell hit a spinebuster on her. Rose rushed in for a knee strike, and KLR hit a superkick and grabbed her bat.
KLR just missed on the outside, and Rose was fleeing like the victim in a slasher movie. Both ladies went off to the back, leaving this as a tag team match. Dolin got a nearfall off a small package, before being planted with a facebuster for the finish!
Grizzled Young Veterans Have No Time For Teachable Moments
For several months now, NXT fans have warmed up to Andre Chase. He’s all about teaching everyone through actions, and tonight he brings his star pupil Bodhi Hayward into the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. However, they drew the runner ups of two previous tournaments in The Grizzled Young Veterans to start their tournament, which doesn’t feel promising – but we’ve already seen one upset in this tournament.
Drake would start the match alongside Chase, and quickly went after the arm. Chase showed his skills by countering out, before stomping down Drake while starting a CHASE U chant. Hayward tagged and hit a sunset flip for a two count, before stretching the arm for an axe handle from Andre Chase.
Drake got a blind tag to Gibson, who yanked Drake outside for an assisted Shoulder Breaker from the Grizzled Young Veterans. Back in the ring, Chase got a two count off a flash backslide, but the tag to Hayward was blocked until he showed some bravado in getting free. Hayward would get the tag and he slammed Gibson down before some falling body presses.
Drake ran a distraction, and Gibson quickly took advantage. Ticket to Mayhem was set up, and Grizzled Young Veterans are on the road to the finals again.
