Next weekend, MJF needs to face CM Punk in his first ever Dog Collar Match. The announcement left him speechless for the first time in AEW, but tonight MJF has something to say to his coming opponent before AEW Revolution – and perhaps finally show AEW fans his true self.
MJF Shows His True Colours, Cuts Babyface Promo From The Heart
MJF would call for his music to be cut before he even hit the ring, and looked deeply troubled. He used to love CM Punk, as proven by the photograph that Punk showed last week. MJF went to see Punk as a kid, getting a chance to meet his hero. As a kid, professional wrestling was what pulled MJF out of bed, and that day meant everything to someone like MJF.
While it feels like MJF had the silver spoon growing up, he fought to belong. Battle severe ADD, MJF had issues – but finally found something that worked for him in playing football. However, his teammates would bully him based on his jewish heritage. But that night, he got to meet his hero – he got to meet CM Punk.
That night, MJF made a promise to himself to be just like CM Punk. He was going to become the Best in The World. Fast forward to 2013, he’d ignore football scholarships because he wants to become a professional wrestler. He studied tape, practised promos, and CM Punk left the industry.
MJF was betrayed, and wanted to leave his dreams behind. However, seeing a picture of CM Punk & Bryan Danielson re-lit a fire under MJF. But unlike CM Punk, MJF won’t betray his fans – and at Revolution he will never quit, because he’s not CM Punk. He’s MJF – and he’s better than CM Punk, and Punk knows it.
CM Punk hit the ring, and asked if any of that was true. An emotional MJF would just walk away, and CM Punk would be left guessing until Revolution. However, MJF is a master of mind games – and might have just gotten CM Punk to take pity on him.
Enter Penta Oscuro In AEW
The last time we saw Penta El Zero Miedo & PAC on AEW Dynamite, they failed to defeat Malakai Black & Brody King. Penta took a heavy dose of that vile black mist to his eyes as well – and is different now. PAC hit the ring first, before calling for a version of Penta that AEW has never seen before. Penta Oscuro is here in AEW, so just dial up his aggression and focus on Penta by a high margin.
He’d kick off the match with a well placed superkick to the jaw of Black, sending him outside – where Penta quickly followed with a splash to the outside. PAC hit a 450 Splash in the ring, before Penta tagged in with some heavy kicks. Black shoved to a tag from King, who would all but take the head of PAC off with a lariat.
King nailed a scoop slam and a running senton splash – before Black took advantage with some quick strikes. Kings Of The Black Throne had isolated PAC, and keeping Penta Oscuro out of the ring might be the best play tonight. Penta tried to come in and save PAC, before King stacked PAC on the head of Penta and dropped them both to the outside for a massive suicide dive.
Buddy Matthews Joins House Of Black
Back in the ring, Black hit a diving double knee strike, before PAC would find an opening for a blind tag. Penta dove into King with a crossbody, before Dantes Inferno was blocked. PAC nailed a German Suplex on King before a double superkick. King had gotten a blind tag to Black, who stopped Fear Factor.
Penta blocked the mist attack of Black and rolled him up for the victory! After the match, the beatdown kept coming as Brody King attacked Penta & PAC – while Black took out Alex on the floor.
Black grabbed a shovel – before the lights went out. Buddy Matthews was here making his AEW debut – a man who has a lot of history with Black from their time in WWE… and he’s with House of Black. He’d kick PAC in the face before stomping out Penta.
King would feed some chairs into the ring, and Matthews curbstomped the face of Penta into a chair. Did you expect Buddy Matthews to join AEW like this? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
