Actress AnnaLynne McCord has been slammed after she posted a video in which she had attempted to call for peace between Russia and Ukraine by reciting a poem.

The two countries are engaged in war after the Russian authorities decided to launch an attack which has killed and injured numerous people.
And in order to raise awareness so that peace can emerge, AnnaLynne felt that it was a wise choice to read out a poem directed towards Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
However, the manner of her words ultimately went on to backfire, as she made an analogy demonstrating that the President had suffered from a lack of love.
In a post to her fans on Twitter, she shared a video in which she was alleged to have said the following: “Dear President Vladimir Putin, I’m so sorry that I was not your mother.
“If I was a mother, you would have been so loved, held in the arms of joyous light….If I was your mother, the world would have been warm.”
In a conflict where people have died, this post was called out for being tone-deaf and ultimately out of touch with the feelings of the people. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
A significant proportion of people could not understand why the actress had decided to post this, given that it had done nothing to help the situation.
In the process of doing so, she came across as very cringe-worthy indeed. One person wrote: “If you want Putin to suck on your titties you can just say that.”
While another person stated: “Realist: NATO backed Ukrainian militarisation caused security dilemma, hence the invasion.
“Liberal: Autocratic rule is buoyed by expansionism and suppression of cooperation, hence the invasion. Nu age spiritualist: Mommy didn’t hug him well enough.”
AnnaLynne has yet to respond to the backlash which is understandable in light of the negative media scrutiny it could generate.
But based on the current reaction, it is probably wise that she removes this post from her social media, as it clearly offended a lot of people.
