The Bachelorette pair, who had been engaged, ended the prospect of them walking down the aisle when they revealed that they could not iron out their differences.
Although that was the case, the very fact of the matter is that they are still trying to get some closure. That is why they have been in communication in the hope that they can put to bed any outstanding issues.
A source said: “There are some lingering matters between them that haven’t been resolved yet. They were working on projects together, planning things, and it seems like there isn’t closure yet.”
This is understandable, but at the same time, it must be recognised that this does not mean they are going to reconcile. Tayshia has decided to move on, which has signalled to Zac that he must do the same.
However, before he ends up in a position where he can do so, he wants to cut any ties that they may have had. This is not for want of resentment, but rather, so that his head is in the right frame of mind.
The source added: “It’s more him still having to figure things out post-split between what they had and also move on from the bond she had with his family and friends.”
Nevertheless, there is no denying that Zac is struggling to come to terms with things. Further reports confirmed that he has not been dating in the aftermath of his split because of the fact that there are trust issues, given how things with Tayshia played out.
Therefore, as a way to protect himself, he has become risk-averse. The following comments confirmed as much: “He gets excited about the idea of dating again but has trust issues from being in the spotlight.
“His biggest fear is getting close to someone, breaking up and then that girl sharing with the world about their relationship.” It is obviously going to take some time before the pair are able to fully heal.
