Almost one year ago, the AEW ring was graced by a legend of basketball. Shaq entered the ring for a match with Cody Rhodes, which also served as the debut of current TBS Champion – Jade Cargill. Since then, fans have been wondering if Shaq will ever return for another AEW match – and Dax Harwood has now called him out.
Dax Harwood Calls Shaq Out
Recently, Jason Fitz would film some content for ESPN’s SportsNation at an AEW event – which saw some interesting comments from Dax Harwood. He had the following to say directed towards Shaq.
“Hey Shaq, don’t forget we got a PPV. I’m calling your a** out. If you ever want to jump into professional wrestling one more time with a real wrestler, holla at your boy.”
This would be a weird match at best, but if anyone would be able to pull a random classic out of Shaq – it’d be Harwood. While his record in singles matches isn’t incredible, his singles match quality in clashes with Jungle Boy & PAC shows that he can hang with the best of them.
FTR Are Grasping At Straws As Revolution Approaches
Right now, FTR are scrambling for a spot on Revolution. They failed to win the tag team Battle Royal this past Wednesday to enter the Triple Threat match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Only one more chance is around, and that comes with the tag team Casino Battle Royale this coming Wednesday. This would make Jurassic Express vs. reDRagon vs. FTR the match for Revolution – though it’s expected that The Young Bucks will advance.
As one of AEW’s top tag teams, this is disheartening – as they might be limited to helping MJF in his Dog Collar match with CM Punk. That is, unless Shaq accepts this challenge to take on Dax Harwood in a wrestling match. Will the NBA legend acknowledge this challenge? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
