Prince Harry‘s resignation as a senior member of the British royal family is probably the worst thing that has happened to the royal house for decades. For an institution that is widely respected for producing future heirs that are loyal to the crown, a source inside the Buckingham claims that things may start changing for the worse after Prince Harry’s bold move.
Prince George May Follow Prince Harry’s Footsteps
According to the source, most future royals may be tempted to follow the path of the estranged Prince to taste the freedom that he now enjoys. A top anti-royalist Graham Smith echoed these fears by saying that Prince George may even reject the chance to become King.
Prince Harry Will Be A Bad Example To Future Royals
Smith claims that George may be tempted to follow the footsteps of his uncle, Prince Harry after watching him have lots of fun and even mix with several celebrities since his infamous resignation. Graham also claims that the 8-year prince who is the first-born of Prince Williams and Kate Middleton may already be considering the prospect of becoming king less attractive.
He said: “This is the other problem with Harry living in California.” He added: “I think that George will certainly look at that and go, well, that looks like more fun, and maybe I’ll do that instead.”
Although Prince Harry’s resignation as a senior member of the royal family caused a public stir of controversy, several sources within the Buckingham maintain that Queen Elizabeth is confident younger royals won’t forsake the throne when they come of age.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle resigned as senior royals in late March 2020 citing unfair press treatment, absence of care, and absence of understanding as key reasons behind their decision. The couple has resided in the US since then with their two children; Archie and Lili.
By birth, the Duke of Sussex remains sixth in the sequence of succession to the British throne behind his father Prince Charles, his brother Prince Williams and Prince William’s three children; Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
