We’re on the road to Revolution in AEW, and it starts this Wednesday with AEW Dynamite. We will get the first qualifying match for the Face of the Revolution ladder match, which is more newsworthy than expected. This is due to the fact that Isiah Kassidy will be taking on a debuting name – and Tony Khan has left some hints on Twitter as to who will be showing up.
Tony Khan Teases A Big Debut For AEW Dynamite
Taking to Twitter, Tony Khan would clarify that not only is this a free agent, but someone who will be stepping through the ‘Forbidden Door’ as well. After originally being mentioned as part of AEW Rampage, the tweet was as follows.
“The big announcement for Wednesday’s Dynamite that we referenced on AEW Rampage (a free agent debut) and the person walking through the Forbidden Door are one and the same. They’re walking in the door, signing a contract, and then slamming the door shut Wednesday on AEW Dynamite!”
This really narrows down potential options, as while The Forbidden Door has been used to describe many relationships, it’s generally come to be used by Khan to describe New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Juice Robinson Is One Of The Few Who Fully Fits The Bill
While this takes the likes of Keith Lee, Jeff Hardy and more – it makes things fairly easy to figure out. Very few names are both free agents and potentially coming through ‘The Forbidden Door’ but one name fits the bill. Recently, Juice Robinson had his NJPW contract expire – and no new deal has been made in the meantime.
He’s both a free agent, and someone leaving NJPW – making him someone who fully fits the bill. Having appeared on Impact Wrestling, some US fans are familiar with his work – but his best matches and moments came in NJPW, where his promos endeared him to fans.
Add in his relationship with Toni Storm, and signing Robinson could be essentially a two for one special. AEW has also been after Robinson for a while now, meaning everything falls into place quite nicely. He’d be a perfect fit for AEW, and entering into the fray for the TNT Championship is a great starting point.
