Milla Jovovich has spoken up concerning Putin’s invasion of her native land, Ukraine. The star actress and supermodel said she was ripped apart by the increasing conflicts and struggles between Ukraine and Russia.

On her Instagram page, Milla responded to the invasion of Ukraine ordered by the Russian President which started in the early hours of Thursday 24 February, forcing people to flee from the country. She said, “I am heartbroken and dumbstruck trying to process the events of this week in my birthplace of Ukraine.

My country and people being bombed, friends and family hiding. My blood and my roots come from both Russia and Ukraine. I am being ripped apart as I watch the horror unfolding, the country being destroyed, families being displaced, their whole life lying in charred fragments around them.”
She also shared her family’s stories of trauma and terror experienced during war times in former Yugoslavia. Milla is one of the celebrities who have spoken out against Ukraine and the Russian conflict, making her stance public. Other celebrities such as Madonna, Kylie Jenner and Pink has also publicly made their stance on the subject clear. Milla further added a wave of support and solidarity to her people.
American singer, Madonna also shared her heartfelt messages online, praying for the safety of the innocent people caught in the violence. In a statement, she shared on Instagram, she blasted the Russian President and urged people to donate to help the Ukrainian people.
She said, “Russia’s pointless and greed-driven invasion of Ukraine must be stopped. Please send in humanitarian aid to help millions of citizens of the Ukraine whose lives are being affected by the crisis at this very moment. Putin has violated every human rights consent in existence.
Putin has no right to try to erase the existence of Ukraine.” She further added that she supports President Zelensky and her prayers are with them. Furthermore, fans have shared their opinion about the conflict, praying that it would come to a positive end.
