Talk show host Wendy Williams has denied claims that she is of unsound mind, which has resulted in her bank accounts being frozen on the grounds that she needs a guardianship.

According to reports, Wendy William’s previous financial advisor Lori Schiller suggested that Wendy was of ‘unsound mind’ which resulted in Wells Fargo cutting access to her bank accounts.
While it is true to say that Wendy has been getting some help to combat her Graves’ disease and thyroid issues, the very fact of the matter is that she still feels she has the capacity to make financial decisions.
LaShawn Thomas, who happens to be her lawyer, had this to say: “Wendy wants the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her mental health and well-being.”
And yet, the talk show host has not presented her show since July 2021 which is only going to continue, if she is denied access to her assets.
This is particularly true, since those within Wendy’s camp had confirmed that she had defaulted on several payments that she was not able to make as a result.
And until the record has been set straight, Wendy is not going to stop in her quest to tell the truth. Thomas added: “[She is] disappointed about falsely circulated statements from an industry she has devoted her life to.”
And her call has been heeded by the fan base around the world. This is no surprise given that the public had seen the dangers of celebrities being denied access to their finances, which was most recently seen when Britney Spears managed to overcome her father Jamie Spears and gain financial independence.
And by the looks of it, the fans will be there to support Wendy in a similar way. Thomas continued: “Wendy is grateful for the love and the outpouring of support she has received from her fans.
“And she can’t wait to get back. She thanks everyone who has been patiently awaiting her return…She is on the mend.”
Hopefully with time, Wendy Williams is able to overcome these troubles, get back to what she does best, and avoid a guardianship. After all, she is known for reporting on major stories rather than being involved in them.
