Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Tonight should be an interesting one as Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns sit down for their contract signing for WrestleMania 38. This will either be civil or the Usos will attack Lesnar again. Should be fun.
We’ll be back at the 8 p.m. EST showtime to kick things off and get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling.
Segment 1
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair want to make the other tap out for the first time at WrestleMania, and while Flair talked trash Deville his Ronda from behind. Flair then slammed Ronda’s right leg into the ring post twice.
Ronda countered Deville with a toss and Deville headed to the floor, jawing at Ronda the whole time.
Segment 2
Big E and Kofi Kingston vs. Los Lotharios (Angel, Humberto)
This started out with a shorter feeling out period after two previous matches, and Big E and Kofi took control early, but Humberto and Angel took it back after sending Kofi to the floor and slamming him into the ringside as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Los Lotharios had it won, but Big E threatened to run over Humberto with his ATV, and Kofi took advantage to hit a super kick and then a Midnight Hour on Angel for the win. Guess it’s WWE’s way of saying they can’t win straight up?
Segment 4
This was a decent debut match that Li won with a spinning heel kick.
Segment 5
Sami Zayn started to celebrate his Intercontinental Championship win when Johnny Knoxville came out and challenged him. Sami jumped him and hit two Helluva Kicks before leaving the ring.
Looks like the rumors of their match at WrestleMania 38 could be right.
Segment 6
Sasha Banks vs. Shotzi
This was a quick one where Banks won with a Bank Statement, and Naomi climbed into the ring afterwards and announced she and Banks will be the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Segment 7
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss w/Happy Corbin
After Corbin talked some trash, they jumped McIntyre before the match, and when the match was underway, McIntyre went for an Alabama Slam but Moss grabbed the ropes and pulled himself to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
Moss came close to getting the win a couple of times, but then he ran into a Claymore off the ropes for McIntyre to win. It was a good showing by Moss considering it was supposed to be Corbin in the match, but he convinced Moss to take his place last minute.
Segment 9
Roman Reigns and the Bloodline headed to the ring and Paul Heyman said Reigns and Brock Lesnar’s match will be bigger than Hogan vs. Andre, Austin vs. Rock, and Heyman ending the Undertaker’s Streak.
He’s giving Lesnar half the credit for that win.
Segment 10
Lesnar took great joy in mocking Reigns and Heyman, and informed them the dozen security men wouldn’t stop him from getting to him.
Heyman promised he’ll lose the WWE Championship this Saturday at MSG, and Reigns seemed to lose his mind by claiming everyone works for him before heading to the floor and pointing out the security team works for him, too.
Lesnar took the security people out with and without the table and laid waste while Reigns and the Bloodline retreated to end the show.
This was a pretty good show overall with good pacing and quality matches. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Results. We had an awesome time and can’t wait for nest week.
See you then!
