Leyla Hirsch and Red Velvet need to solve their issues tonight, without Kris Statlander getting her nose in their business. Statlander has been obsessed with Hirsch since Hirsch turned heel. Velvet is now alone, with Statlander banned from ringside for tonights match – where she will try and prove she’s without a doubt the better wrestler.
Leyla Hirsch Claims Another Dirty Victory
Hirsch would be able to catch Velvet on the apron before the bell, kicking her to the floor. Velvet would fire back, whipping Hirsch into the barricade, before getting a quick receipt. Both ladies would finally get in the ring, and the bell would ring. Velvet would be aggressive, choking Hirsch with a boot in the corner.
Hirsch would catch the standing moonsault of Velvet into a suplex. A double knee strike into the corner was followed by a dropkick, before Hirsch applied the body scissors. Velvet escaped and would nail a lariat, before being caught with a German Suplex as she looked for a Springboard.
Hirsch would be nailed with that Corkscrew Kick – The Mix, but was able to roll to the outside. She’d grab two turnbuckles. The referee took one, but missed the one in her trunks – and Velvet was cracked into the head for the three count.
After the bell, Hirsch would lock in the armbar – and Statlander would rush the ring for the save. This issue is far from over, and revenge is coming to Hirsch soon.
Nyla Rose Wants Another Reign As AEW World Women’s Champion <./h3>
Last week, Thunder Rosa was finally able to end the reign of Britt Baker. As the new AEW World Women’s Champion, she’d get a massive ovation from the Texas crowd… only to have Vicky Guerrero interrupt.
Nyla Rose would not be far behind, and would rush down the new champion. Still looking for her second reign as AEW World Women’s Champion – it’s clear that Rose has jumped the line.
Chris Jericho Promises Some Sports Entertainment
Chris Jericho has once again reinvented himself, and now strives to bring Sports Entertainment to AEW alongside the Jericho Appreciation Society. If Chris Jericho is a sports entertainer, then Daniel Garcia is very glad to take that title as well. Tonight, they make their tag team debut – as they take on John Silver & Alex Reynolds of the Dark Order – the #1 ranked tag team in AEW.
Silver would start alongside Jericho, and was shoved off – only to drop Jericho with a shoulder tackle. Body slam and one foot pin would follow, before Jericho ran into an armdrag. Reynolds got the tag, before Jericho would escape the ring. Silver rushed him down with a roundhouse kick, before an assisted brainbuster on the floor.
Daniel Garcia rushed the ring, and was dropped quickly. He’d get his footing against Reynolds, while Jericho would get Five & Ten removed from the ringside area. Jericho would hit some chops and boots in the corner, before Reynolds caught Jericho in mid-air with a dropkick.
Garcia & Jericho would regain control, before a missed lionsault would have Jericho find nothing but canvas. Silver would get the hot tag, and would launch Jericho with a flapjack. Codebreaker landed in response, before Garcia was hit with the stunner into the German Suplex, before a Jacknife pin.
Reynolds would get whacked with the baseball bat of Jericho as he hit the ropes, and Garcia was able to apply the Sharpshooter for the win.
