Andrade El Idolo has had an issue with Sting & Darby Allin lately – namely as Sting refuses to sell Allin to Andrade. Tonight, he will team with his AHFO allies in Matt Hardy & Isiah Kassidy in a trios tornado tag team match. Allin & Sting have brought in the TNT Champion Sammy Guevara to help them, but after stealing the win in the triple threat match for the TNT Championship from Allin on Rampage? There might be tension for the AHFO to take advantage in this crazy match.
Tornado Tag Team Chaos Sees Sting Pull Off His Craziest Stunt In Years
Allin would rush down Andrade to start this match, before everyone split off into separate brawls. Andrade would throw Allin chest first onto the barricade – while Kassidy & Hardy thought they had the better of Sting in the ring, only for him to pop back to his feet and hit some trash can shots. Guevara would take Kassidy out with the double springboard cutter, before Andrade pulled him to the outside.
Andrade hit a dropkick to sent the trash can into the face of Sting, before feeding Guevara into a Twist of Fate from Hardy. Sting would get a right hand to the face of Hardy, while Allin dodged a dive from Andrade with a side step. Kassidy would get some help from his partner Marq Quen, and hit Silly String on the floor to Guevara.
Sting had taken Hardy into the crowd and was using the steel chair to perfection, but Butcher & The Blade would some to help their AHFO allies. Butcher ragdolled Darby into the barricade, and back on the stage – Guevara was on a table with Private Party. Guevara would fight Quen off before a super spanish fly off the set through the table.
On the other end of the arena, Butcher & The Blade were setting up some more tables – but Sting was standing tall. Sting fought off Butcher & The Blade, and Allin set Andrade up on a table- and Sting dove off and crashed Andrade through all three tables!
Only two men were left, and Allin would meet Hardy in the ring. A steel chair shot met his back, before Allin hit a Scorpion Death Drop on the chair. One coffin drop later, and this one was over.
Adam Cole Gets His Chance To Become AEW World Heavyweight Champion
Everywhere that Adam Cole goes, he always finds his way to the top of the card. This now includes AEW, as he takes on someone he once considered a close ally. Adam Cole & Hangman Page were both members of BULLET CLUB. There Page was simply known as ‘the other Adam’, but now Hangman Adam Page is the AEW World Champion – something that Adam Cole wants.
They know each other incredibly well, with Cole likely knowing more about Page than even Kenny Omega did – which could be what it takes to end this reign. Add in just how beat up Page is after going two rounds with Danielson and through a Texas Deathmatch – and Cole might be ready to reach the top of AEW.
Kicking this one off with some chain wrestling – Cole would be looking for the wrist lock. Page would quickly make things physical with a short arm lariat out of the corner. Cole looked for some refuge on the outside, but Page hit the dropkick through the ropes. Page would beat Cole all around the ringside area, before a running boot to the side of the face.
Cole would be able to attack the arm of Page with the ring post – before driving it right into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Page would throw some chops – but the arm was bothering him. Cole would hit the Ushigoroshi, before bending the arm around the top rope.
Page looked for the pop up Death Valley Driver, but Cole was able to slip into a backstabber instead. Cole would look to end things with Panama Sunrise, only to take a big boot to the side of the face instead. Page would hit the springboard lariat to send Cole off the apron. Powerbomb to the apron would follow, and the moonsault ended the combo.
Back in the ring, Cole would see the Buckshot Lariat coming – and took refuge on the floor. Cole would catch Page with the kick through the ropes, before a backstabber in the ring. Shining Wizard was attempted, but Page caught him into the Liger Bomb – getting a two count.
Both men would work their way to the top rope, where Cole wanted the Sunset Flip Bomb. Instead, Cole was shoved off and Page looked for the moonsault – but was caught mid-air with a superkick to the jaw! Another superkick was on the way, but Page instead caught Cole with Deadeye.
Hangman Page Takes The Best Of Adam Cole – Comes Out On Top
Cole would survive and look to set up The Boom, but instead took a rolling elbow. Page threw a wild lariat, but Cole took him down into a crossface. The ropes would save Page before he’d set up a Tombstone Piledriver. Champion and challenger would exchange blows in the middle of the ring, before Page hit a deadlift German Suplex.
Cole shot back with the knee drop brainbuster, before again they went to the top rope. The moonsault slam would land, getting a two count for Page. Page would be sent to the outside, and Cole nailed the Panama Sunrise. reDRagon would distract the referee in the ring, allowing for the low blow, Panama Sunrise – and finally The Boom.
Somehow, Page would kick out of his combo – but he was seemingly weak for another shot. Instead, he’d nail a lariat. Buckshot was blocked by a superkick, and one to the back to the neck would set up another Boom – but Page just fell to his chest.
reDRagon would set up a table at ringside, but Page would take Cole down through it using Deadeye. Dark Order would rush to the ring to check on Page and keep Dark Order away, and back in the ring – Buckshot landed – and Cole survived with a single finger on the ropes.
Cole would get tied to the top rope with a belt, and took a flurry of superkicks. He’d get free, and took another before Page pulled down a kneepad – and looked for The Boom. It landed, and a Buckshot Lariat would follow – ending this one.
