Serena Deeb called her shot last week. After three competitive matches against Hikaru Shida, she wasn’t wasting time. It was a slaughter of the knee of Shida, and Deeb sent her hobbling back to Japan. Tonight, Deeb looks to continue to her path of destruction – and her target is set on Skye Blue.
Leyla Hirsch Snaps, Serena Deeb Claims Another Huge Win
Before this match, we’d see Kris Statlander & Red Velvet attacked by their former ally of Leyla Hirsch. This turn has been coming for weeks, and Hirsch blames Statlander for this. It was loss after loss, money being taken from her wallet that led to this. Everyone has a breaking point, and Statlander will now have to deal with a very irate Hirsch.
Skye Blue would be outclassed across the board in this match tonight, but would still step up. A snapmare would be followed by a slap to the head, before Deeb applied a tight headlock. Blue shoved her off, only to take a shoulder tackle.
Deeb would send Blue to the apron, and got the neckbreaker through the ropes. She’d meet the ropes a second time, this time from a slingshot. Deeb had the support of the crowd despite her arrogance, and the Deebtox facebuster would land. Not done yet, Serenity Lock would be applied and Blue would be all but torn in half.
AEW Rampage Has A Stacked Card
After this match, Ethan Page would accept the challenge of Jon Moxley for a match on AEW Rampage. Page isn’t scared of anyone, and has been climbing the rankings. He’s taken on Darby Allin, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes and more. A win over Moxley, could show that Page is a franchise player for AEW.
This match joins Roppongi Vice vs. Young Bucks for a special LIVE edition of AEW Rampage. HOOK will also be in action against Serpentico, just his fourth match – but he’s already shown to be wise beyond his years. Finally, Jade Cargill defends the TBS Championship against Anna Jay.
Andrade & Matt Hardy Join Forces To Create A Greater Faction
We’d also see a merger between Matt Hardy & Andrade El Idolo. Andrade has purchased 51% of the faction, with Hardy retaining 49%. However, Hardy & Private Party maintain the majority of the seats in the faction, with Andrade & Jose taking the other two spots.
The faction will still look to get the best talent in AEW on board, but is now the AHFO. Andrade is still wanting to buy Darby Allin from Sting, and Matt Hardy agrees that he would be an incredible get for the faction – and after tonight’s main event, Allin better do the smart thing and join them.
The Acclaimed Take Out Darby Allin To Get Sting In A Handicap Match
Sting & Darby Allin are an undefeated tag team here in AEW, and this could very well bring them to the AEW World Tag Team Championships soon. However, they first need to finish their feud with The Acclaimed. They’ve been attacked, and verbally degraded with a diss track – but tonight when they hit the ring, everything will be on an even level.
The Acclaimed would start off fast, attacking Sting & Darby Allin. Bowens used a steel chair before the bell, and wrapped it around his neck before tossing him into the ring post. Sting might now have a handicap match on his hands. Doctors would come to check on Allin, and really this match hasn’t even started yet – and Sting accepted the odds.
Sting would come unglued, and take the fight to the #1 ranked tag team. He would need to keep things moving, and he’d use the steel steps on the outside to get some bonus damage on Caster. Sting against Caster or Bowens is possible, but he can’t beat two rising stars. Stinger Splashes would come, but Bowens used exposed steel to block and got a two count.
Allin Returns Like A Bat Out Of Hell
A powerslam would get a two count, and Sting was in a bad way here. He’d keep steady through the commercial break, and was able to apply the Scorpion Deathlock on Caster. Bowens threw a rolling elbow and superkick, and broke the signature submission. Caster would distract the referee, and Bowens used the Boombox to smash Sting.
Darby Allin would make his way back into the match, exploding out of the crowd like a missile. He’d tag in and nail a Coffin Drop onto The Acclaimed on the floor, before a Code Red in the ring. Allin applied a choke, but Caster made the tag to Bowens. Bowens set up the Mic Drop, but Sting broke up the pinfall.
Caster took refuge on a table at ringside, and Sting soared off the stage to crash both men through it. Allin hit Stundog Millionaire and Coffin Drop – and this one was over. Sting is as insane as ever before – and this team might claim gold sooner than later.
