Arn Anderson is without a doubt, a legend in the world of professional wrestling. Since 2019, he’s been around in All Elite Wrestling – mainly as the coach of Cody Rhodes, but has also been working as a backstage advisor. He has kept a close eye on AEW, and has noticed one major flaw in their roster – that talents will show up and then vanish.
Arn Anderson Sees An Issue With Talents Falling Off In AEW
On the latest episode of “The ARN Show” on AdFreeShows.com, Arn Anderson would speak about this issue. He’d have the following to say, and used Dante Martin as an example.
“Now to his defense because people get sick of me singing Tony Khan’s praises, but his intention is, because now he’s assembled quite a hell of a talent roster, to try to get everybody exposed. If you get one week or two weeks, and then they move on, I get exactly what you’re saying. In order to get a person over, you have to have about eight or 10 or 12 straight weeks of good TV. Now I am invested in this guy.
Tony knows what he wants out of the shows. We support him 100%. I do agree that talent doesn’t get exposed. Dante Martin is a very special kid. He got springs like nobody else in the business. Just a short time back he had two or three or four really, really good weeks, and then now they disappeared down to Dark. It’s a dilemma that we have. We will figure it out.”
Fans Have Had This Complaint For A While
It’s good to know that people within AEW know that this is an issue. Fans have had this exact complaint for the past few years, and it’s vindicating to see that echoed from the likes of Arn Anderson. Sadly, it’s a hard issue to solve.
Right now, AEW has about three hours of TV each week – and even that is cut down by ad breaks. That’s not a lot of time to showcase everyone, and even with having countless tag team matches – you can’t get everyone on every show.
Tony Khan buying Ring of Honor might help this, as it gives another company to showcase contracted talents in.
