Peta Murgatroyd was grateful for being able to see her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy return home.

Maksim, for his part, had been stuck in Ukraine during the Russian attack on the country. While he did give daily updates as to his whereabouts in order to make sure that his family and fans could be at ease, the very fact of the matter is that things were difficult for Peta.
Not only did she have to stay strong for the sake of her husband, she was also in charge of their child who may have never seen his father again. But now that he has managed to make it out in one piece, she was just happy to see Maksim again.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she shared some pictures of the family. The post was captioned by the following comments: “I never thought our family would be directly affected by this in our lifetime.
“I never thought what we are seeing on our TVs was a reality in 2022. I have never hugged him so tight. Shaking and forever grateful.”
Although Peta may be at ease now, the reality is that there are still people stuck in the country who are looking to do the same and leave.
Unlike Maksim, who lives in another country, those people do not have that luxury. That is why she has made it clear that she and Maksim will continue to help the people of Ukraine in any way that they can.
She added: “Although @maksimc made it home, this DOES NOT mean we aren’t continuing our efforts to provide assistance to the Ukrainian refugees.
“We have big plans in store and our sole focus is on this war. A smaller plan is going up on my stories soon!” Peta should be commended for the strength that she has shown of late.
