Singer Rihanna may be a billionaire, but that does not mean that she does not like the simple things in life.
Fans Mock Billionaire Rihanna For Shopping At Target-‘Maybe If She Released The Album She’d Have More Money’
The star is expecting a newborn baby with ASAP Rocky, and as part of that process, she has already gotten herself into the spirit of buying children’s clothing.
But rather than spending millions of dollars trying to find the best that is on offer, the star was spotted shopping at none other than Target. Rihanna is reportedly worth $1.7 billion. And yet, she was seen shopping in the newborn section area of the store.
In the pictures here, we can see that she is wearing a blue hoodie as she looks at baby clothes while holding an iPhone in her hand. She is having a look at some onesies and socks.
But before any criticism emerges, it is important to bear in mind the following factors. First of all, she is shopping for baby clothes.
And given that children outgrow their clothing at an exponential rate, it would be counterproductive to spend thousands of dollars on something that would only last a month, if that.
Secondly, just because Rihanna may have lots of wealth, it does not necessarily mean that she cannot do things such as this. The response on social media, however, was one of ridicule.
People began to make assumptions about the star’s career on the basis that she had not had an album out for so long.
Although this could easily be explained by virtue of the fact that she has become a successful business mogul in and of itself, the very fact of the matter is that the comments were very harsh indeed.
One person wrote: “Maybe if she released the album she’d have more money.” As long as Rhianna is happy, then that is the most important thing.
And given how successful her career has been, she has plenty of reasons to be cheerful. And that is not just because she is expecting a baby. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
