In line with Queen Elizabeth’s plans towards her birthday jubilee celebration, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton have been tasked with the responsibility of visiting a number of countries in order to facilitate oneness between them. This visit to these countries is called The Caribbean Tour and is said to last for about a week. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been scheduled to visit Belize, Jamaica and finally the Bahamas during the tour.
Kate Middleton’s Powerful Speech
In one of the places the couple visited, the Duchess was seen delivering an emotional speech at Shortwood Teacher College in Kingston. She started by appreciating teachers, describing them as heroes “at the front line in shaping the early years.” “We are on the cusp of one of the biggest opportunities for positive change in generations.”
Kate Speaks Up, Gives Empowering Speech During the Caribbean Tour
She added. It’s no surprise that the 40-year-old mother of three was found delivering such an empowering speech. When you speak about early childhood education, you speak about a topic Kate is devoted to. She founded The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood to help in research and also build awareness that will impact early ages.
Kate, being a mother herself, understands the importance of a child having the greatest support in his early years as this will in turn affect how he turns out later on. She has worked on many projects regarding children’s social, mental and all-round wellbeing. She is also a patron at Place2be which provides child counseling services and other benefits.
This is not the only time the Duchess has appreciated what teachers do. Having spent more time at home with her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at home during the lockdown, she became more aware about how much Teachers put into their work. “You are a lifeline to so many families out there. Thank you for the hard work you do on a day-to-day basis for the children that you look after” Kate said.
