The royal source reportedly said that “You can’t say she will definitely be at the service but there’s an element of pacing herself to make it happen.” Some highly-ranking royal advisers have reportedly acknowledged that the “frailties that come with living a long life” are now overwhelming the Queen.
Some of them even suggested that the Monarch has been fragile in the past weeks such that she cannot even take her treasured dogs for a stroll.
The monarch has had numerous dogs since she was a little girl but she has not taken any pet for a walk at Windsor Castle for up to six months due to health challenges.
The Queen, 95, who recuperated from coronavirus just a few weeks ago, was reportedly walking about in Windsor Castle without a walking stick, yet, decided to skip this year’s Commonwealth Service which is one of her stand-out activities of each year, raising questions about her health.
Since her bout with Covid, the monarch has restricted her meetings to a few physical engagements and more virtual sessions.
Many royal fans are hopeful that the monarch will overcome the recurring health challenges that have plagued her in recent years to execute her duties as expected of her after her performances diminished in the past years. The Queen, who is the longest-serving monarch in British history is reportedly making plans to step down as monarch by next year for her first son, Prince Charles.
