Despite all that has happened in the past with his ex-wife-Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon dropped his new track “Alone” on Valentine’s Day, confessing his feelings to his one-time lover.
The two who had been married for more than six years decided to go their separate ways in 2014 and the divorce finalized later in 2016. The couple share two daughters-Moroccan and Monroe, who are ten-year-old twins.

Although, what really caused the split up was never really stated expressly, it is believed by many that it was due to the fame both of them held in the entertainment industry.
Mariah Carey had once explained in one of her many interviews that one ting that caused a wedge between her and Nick was how difficult it was to juggle her career with marriage and then the children. In a press release, concerning the new track, Cannon said, “this is the gospel of my broken soul. This is as raw as it gets.” A part of the lyrics of the song reads:

Cannon describes his upcoming mixtape, Raw N B: The explicit Tape as therapeutic. “To really cry out for my soul on a lot of these records.” The 41-year-old father of 8 said. Nick who is also an expectant father, as he has a child on its way with Bre Tiesi hinted from his song that he believes he does not deserve his ex-wife’s love anymore.
Mariah Carey has also been dating Dancer Bryan Tanaka, but they’ve been on and off for quite a while. This was also mentioned in Nick’s song where he said, “you got a man next to you when you sleep.”
