Tomoaki Honma will bring two young lions into battle tonight as they match up with Team Six or Nine and Ryohei Oiwa. Yuto Nakashima & Kosei Fujita are looking to make their veteran partner proud tonight, but their chances of victory are low. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato are at the top of their game as the 69th IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champions – and won’t be easy to defeat.
Master Wato Shows The Power Of Vendaval Once Again
Oiwa & Fujita would kick off the action, with Oiwa being the only current Young Lion to have a victory. Fujita would be able to grab an armbar, before tagging out to Nakashima, who would meet Taguchi with a stiff shoulder tackle. Honma would look to maintain control before dropping the Kokeshi – and missing.
Wato would get the tag, before getting trapped in a DDT – and being spiked. Honma tagged in Fujita, before all three men would run down Wato. Nakashima would get the tag, only to get caught with the Sunset Flip into Vendaval submission, forcing the tap out. Oiwa now has another win to his name, thanks to Team Six Or Nine.
Hiroshi Tanahashi Gets Win On Route To Clash With Tetsuya Naito
Hiroshi Tanahashi was able to push past Bad Luck Fale to make it to the next round of the New Japan Cup – but is unable to shake Fale. Now, he meets Fale, Gedo & Chase Owens in tag team action – with Tiger Mask & YOH to back him up.
Tiger Mask would start off with his next singles opponent, Chase Owens. Some quick kicks out cut down Owens. YOH would get the tag, but got sent to the outside – where Bad Luck Fale would punish the Junior Heavyweight. Gedo tried to pick the bones, but only was able to get a two count.
YOH would get taken into a side headlock, but was able to break free and hit the springing forearm smash. Tanahashi got the tag, and was able to hit the flying forearm smash before the Dragon Screw to Gedo, before keeping Fale out of the ring. Tiger Mask would keep Chase Owens busy, as Tanahashi nailed Slingblade for a two count.
Fale broke the pinfall up, before YOH would use his speed to harass Fale, until a thrust kick dropped him. YOH & Tanahashi hit Dragon Screws in tandem, before Tanahashi applied the Cloverleaf for the victory. In the third round, Tanahashi will face Tetsuya Naito – one of his greatest rivals.

CHAOS Are Figuring Out How To Deal With House of Torture
CHAOS have been unable to shake House of Torture, and tonight they once again match up with them in a six man tag team match. Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI are all champions, and will go toe to toe with EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi & Dick Togo.
For once, House of Torturwe would wait for the bell to attack. Takahashi started with Okada, and would be able to get free of a side headlock with some aid from a handful of hair. Togo & EVIL hit the ring, but the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion would be able to easily fend off their attack.
YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto would hit the ring, and easily dodged the attack of Dick Togo before beating him down. Takahashi would drive Goto into the exposed corner, before the steel barricade was the weapon of choice. Back in the ring, Togo would show some dirty striking skills, before EVIL tried to choke Goto with a shirt.
Goto would use the exposed steel to his advantage on EVIL before the Russian Leg Sweep. EVIL would be able to push YOSHI-HASHI and allow Dick Togo to choke with the steel cable. Goto made the save, and alongside YOSHI-HASHI nailed Shoto for the victory.
