Former star of ‘The Bachelor’ franchise Colton Underwood is hoping to follow up on his recent engagement to Jordan C. Brown with his very own family.
Colton Underwood Wants Kids-‘I’m Really Excited’
Colton, for his part, has come a long way ever since he first came out. The star was heavily criticised in the aftermath on the basis that he had misled the women he had been associated with.
This was none more so than Cassie Randolph. Not only did he conceal his sexuality from her, the very fact of the matter is that she filed a restraining order against him on the basis of harassment.
But through it all, he managed to come out the other side. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said: “I feel like I was born to be a dad. There’s nothing more in this world that I want than to raise kids.
“I’m really excited for when that time comes.” Despite his enthusiasm for kids, it is important to bear in mind the following factors. First of all, Colton admitted that he has not made a decision over when he wants to take such a step.
Not only does it have to be the appropriate time for him, but there is also the obvious question of balancing what Jordan wants to do.
Secondly, given that he has already taken a huge step in getting engaged, there is a feeling that he should not be rushing into things. That seems to be the policy that he is adopting.
He added: “Life happens. Who knows, maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow and want to start the process. But as of right now, we’re sort of enjoying this moment and taking it as it comes.”
This was precisely the feeling that was expressed on social media. A certain subset of people felt that things were moving very quickly. One person wrote: “Oof. Sloooooow down, my man.”
Ultimately, Colton and Jordan have to do what makes them happy. And if having a child does raise a few eyebrows, then so be it. As long as they are ready, then that is the most important thing.
