WWE NXT 2.0 Roadblock Results: Dakota Kai & Wendy Choo Defeat Raquel González & Cora Jade To Advance To Finals Of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (03/08)

In 2021, Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez were able to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and would go on to become the first ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Lots has happened since then, but long story short – these former friends are now bitter rivals – and have new partners for the 2022 tournament.

Gonzalez has partnered with Cora Jade, while Kai has an unlikely alliance with Wendy Choo. These teams clash in tonights semi-finals match, and a spot in the finals is waiting for the victor.

Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai Get An Assist From Toxic Attraction On Way To The Finals

Choo would kick action off alongside Jade, and found some time for a nap. Jade would quietly walk to the corner and tag in Gonzalez, before Choo woke up to dodge the elbow drop. Gonzalez lifted Choo up for the airplane spin, before spinning her into a sidewalk slam for a two count.

Jade would hit an elbow strike in the corner for a two count, before Choo rushed her into the corner to tag in Kai. A look at the Toxic Lounge would see that the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions had left their spot overlooking the match – while Kai nailed some downward kicks on Choo.

Jade would get isolated in the wrong corner, and would drop the Nap Time Elbow drop for a near fall before Choo applied the headlock. Breaking free, Jade would block a suplex attempt into a roll up, as she rolled around the ring with Jade before almost being pinned.

With the referee distracted, Jayne & Dolin would attack Gonzalez from behind – potentially injuring her knee in the process. No one wants to potentially defend a championship against a powerhouse like Gonzalez after all.

After a commercial break, it’d be revealed that WWE medical staff tried to take her out of the match – and she refused. Jade would try to tough it out, and would nail the rising knee strike in the corner. Choo would hit a Full Nelson Slam, before Jade would be able to tag out.

Gonzalez had one good leg, but that was enough to hit a powerslam for a two count. Kai would nail the Kairopractor, before the running kick in the corner… but she hesitated and nearly took the powerbomb. Second time, Kai wouldn’t hesitate, and Choo hit the Vader Bomb before Kai claimed the win with the double stomp.

The Creed Brothers Get Beaten Down In The Parking Lot – Tiffany Stratton Claims A Singles Win

Tiffany Stratton would be making her way to the ring for a match, when we’d see The Creed Brothers beaten down in the parking lot – the most dangerous place in all of WWE NXT. They are still set to face the NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium later tonight – but won’t be hitting the ring at 100%. Raquel Gonzalez would join them in the training room, lots of damage already done tonight.

Stratton would have Fallon Henley tonight as an opponent, quickly applying a wrist lock. Henley would send Stratton off with an armdrag, before hitting a dropkick. Statton would fire back with a hip attack, before taking a chop to the throat. Henley was quick to nail a backbreaker and a lariat, before being caught with the Pop-Up Samoan Drop.

Sarray would attack Stratton from behind, and Henley took advantage for the win. Stratton recently insulted the heirloom necklace of Sarray, and found out that is a bad idea tonight!

Can The Creed Brothers bounce back to win gold tonight? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
