Swerve Strickland has been making a name for himself in AEW, and tonight is a chance for a fairly easy win. He will face the leader of The Factory, that being QT Marshall. His real foes will be Team Taz, with Ricky Starks closeby on commentary alongside Taz – with Powerhouse Hobbs never far.
Whose House? Swerves House!
Marshall would hit a heavy back elbow to start this match, before being taken down to the mat. Swerve would be thrown over the top rope, but hit a handspring off the apron and landed in the ring. He’d slip back in and shove Marshall out, before nailing a pump kick to the jaw.
A jumping axe handle off the apron to the back would land, before The Factory was sent to the back for trying to distract Swerve. In the ring, Marshall would miss a lariat but hit a snug back elbow to the jaw. Swerve would be able to come back with a leaping elbow before setting up and nailing the diving european uppercut to the back.
Marshall would hit the pop up punch and look for the Diamond Cutter. Swerve blocked and nailed a Flatliner to set up the House Call kick for the win. Ricky Starks would call Swerve out, saying that there is unfinished business. Next week – it’ll be Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee vs. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs!
