Emma, for her part, had recalled to follow co-star Chrishell Stause over how Ben had messaged her on the celebrity dating app Raya. It was here where she claimed that the actor had messaged her by trying to highlight their commonality in being from Boston.
While she did not go on to take it any further, coupled with the fact that Ben Affleck has moved on with Jennifer Lopez, it is safe to say that the story is now dead in the water. And yet, according to Ben, such a thing had never happened in the first place.
In a statement given on behalf of Ben, a representative said: “Raya has confirmed that he has not been an active member for several years.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then they are significant for the following reasons. First of all, this could be seen as an attempt by Ben to distance himself from any other women now that he is happily engaged to Jennifer.
Secondly, this could also be a publicity stunt by Emma, who may have been wanting to ride off the hype that has been generated by Bennifer. In any event, this is something that we will never know, given the conflicting accounts.
In her initial statement, Emma clearly hinted that something could have gone down. She stated: “He may or may not have been texting me. He may or may not have asked to grab … coffee a few times.”
The fans were not convinced by Ben, though. This was on the basis that he had been accused by other women of being on the dating platform, including none other than TikTok user Nivine Jay.
One person wrote: “I thought it was common knowledge he was on Raya though.” As long as Ben is happy now, then that is the most important thing.
