Brie Larson has officially joined the ‘Fast and Furious 10,’ cast much to the delight of Vin Diesel but not to some fans.
Brie Larson Joins The Cast Of ‘Fast And Furious 10’ But Fans Are Not Convinced-‘Uncast Her’
The star, who is best known for being Captain Marvel, does have serious pedigree when it comes to the acting profession. In 2015, she did win an Academy Award for best actress for her role in the ‘Room.’
And in the process of joining such an iconic film franchise, she follows in the footsteps of other major female actresses including Helen Mirren, as well as Charlize Theron.
And with Brie offering a new angle to the movie, Vin Diesel could not hold back on his delight to see Brie join the team. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Vin Diesel shared a picture of himself and Brie laughing next to each other.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for.
“Welcome to the FAMILY Brie. @brielarson.” Just as one superhero has joined the cast, so has another. Prior to Brie joining, Jason Momoa (otherwise known for playing Aquaman) was confirmed to be the villain in the 10th instalment.
And with two actors having played superheroes on opposite sides, it certainly throws up an interesting dynamic in seeing how the actors will approach their respective roles.
In a prior interview with “Entertainment Tonight”, Jason admitted that he was excited to get started. He stated: “It’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while.
“Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache!” The response on social media was mixed. While a certain subset were happy to see a major female actress join the cast, others were not so convinced.
One person wrote: “Uncast her.” It is safe to say that Brie will have to prove herself to the fans. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
