YouTube personality and Celebrity Big Brother 3 participant Todrick Hall appears to be in trouble with his landlords.
“Celebrity Big Brother 3” Participant Todrick Hall Owes Landlords $60K in Unpaid Rent
Hall had agreed to a contract where he would pay $30,000 per month for a spacious five-bedroom, eight-bathroom house. Located in Sherman Oaks, California, the house apparently proved a bit much for the singer and choreographer as he fell behind on rent in February and March.
Landlords Avi and Orna Lavian filed the civil complaint on Tuesday, March 29, according Us Weekly. On Thursday, March 3, Todrick Hall received an eviction notice from the two.
The $60,000 in back rent is just the most significant cost Hall faces. He is also looking at attorney fees as well as fees for forfeiture of the agreement. The Lavians also have a $1,000 per day fee for damages. To top all of these fees off for Todrick Hall, there are other payments based on what the court sees fit for violating the rental agreement.
Ever controversial in how he advanced through the third season of Celebrity Big Brother, he has eventually voted off the show and lost to Miesha Tate after his scheme of building false alliances and backstabbing—according to other housemates—backfired on him.
The backlash saw him take time away from interviews—including his exit interview for Celebrity Big Brother 3—for mental health reasons. In an Instagram post from Saturday, March 12, Todrick Hall touched on his time on Big Brother stating that:
“I am a human being, a real one…I’m not always nice, not always kind nor have I ever claimed to be.”
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hall admitted that while he was pleased with how he played the game, he regretted how his strategy and how he actually felt about the houseguests—many of which he liked—clashed and made for a volatile mix:
“I wish that the personal statements wouldn’t have been said. I wish I wouldn’t have crossed into a personal level. But I don’t regret being on the show and I’ve learned a lot from it.”
